CERT Mendocino County

Hello! I'm...

Dave

(or David, either is fine)

My first encounter with CERT was in November of 2019 when I took the

In-Person Training offered by NCO in Ukiah.

I completed the training on November 17, 2019.

Then I took the same training but on Zoom twice.

I completed one on April 30, 2023 and the other on

January 5, 2024

Also, I completed:

EMI's / FEMA ICS-100 online on

March 12, 2020

EMI's / FEMA ICS-700 online on

March 13, 2020

In July of 2024, I had the honor of going to the National CERT Conference in Washington DC.

I attended and completed the

CERT Train-the-Trainer class.

Now, does all that make me

a an expert?

NO!

CERT covers such a broad amount of situations that it will take a lifetime to know everything there is to know.

By the way, I'm also a High School Diploma / GED prep. / Citizenship teacher at the Ukiah Adult School and in my last 20 plus years teaching, I've learned that I'm no expert.

Jack of all trades, maybe, but expert, no.
